The date of Moon festival 2010 is Sep. 22, 2010. There are a lot of moon festival legends, such as changEr, Jade Rabbit, etc. Moon festival is the second largest festival in China. People work at other place usually goes home to reunion their family on or before this date. The significant of moon festival is reunion.

Moon festival is also called Mid-autumn festival. It is the date of Lunar August 15. It is said that the full moon is the biggest and brightest in the whole year. At night of Moon festival, Chinese have tradition to gather together and sit under the shine of moon light drinking tea, eating fruit and moon cakes. Moon cake is the specific food for moon festival.

On the date of moon festival, Chinese like to pray to the moon and make a wish. It is believed that moon can help people wishes come true, especially those reunion wishes. Children also can wish that they have smart mind and get high score in their exams.

It is easy to pray on the Mid-autumn festival. Put some fruit and moon cake on one table (no meat), light up 2 candles, 3 incenses and one lamp (see Buddha Supplies for above items). Then you can knee down and make a wish to Moon. Moon will help you achieve your goal. Enjoy on moon festival!
