Money frog is also called three-legged toad since there is one leg in the back only (2 in front). Usually it holds one Chinese coin in its mouth and sitting on bed of coins or ingot. Money frog is one of the most auspicious symbol to bring wealth and prosperity.

Money Frog

In feng shui pratice, it is recomended to place money frogs at home. There are several different ways to display money frogs. The most common one is place money frog at the corner of the house (better in the diagonal corner) facing the main door. The position for it is not too low or not too high – approx. 1′ to 2′ in the height from the floor. Directly placing money frog on the floor is not recomended.

Some feng shui practicers recomend to let the money frogs facing the main door at the daytime and turn it back facing inside at the night time. Another way to place money frog is according to whether there is coin in its mouth or not. If not coin in its mouth, let the money frog face outside. Otherwise let it face inside if there is one coin in its mouth.

You can place as many money frogs in your house or offices as you want. They can be in the living room, family room, dining room or garden. However the total number of the money frog is not over 9.

Top 6 Things to Avoid in Choosing House

1. In front of main door, avoid pillar, street lamp, or something sharp, etc. For example, one pillar directly in front of the house will bring killing chi by feng shui. Or once the door is not aligned with the street (with some angle), this kind of door usually is facing some sharp roof in another side of the street. That sharp roof will bring the killing chi too.

2. Avoid main door and back door directly in one line. Chi flows in. Then it will directly goes out. It means that money easily vanishes. If your house is like this, it is better to put Shoji Screen between.

3. Avoid long and narrow hall way in front of the main door. It means not good future and it also can generate bad chi. Let it more open and wide.

4. Avoid no windows or too many windows for the bedroom. Good energy and light can’t go in for the no window room and too much energy goes away if there are too many windows.

5. Avoid main door or bedroom door directly facing bathroom door. Restroom door can produce killing chi too. It is not good for health. People living in such house/room will easily get sick.

6. Avoid too many sharp walls or corners in the house. Remember any sharp point can create its bad energy. If you can’t avoid, hang crystal balls at that location.
